A number of Universities and Community Colleges around the west are partnering with The Connecticut Distance Learning Consortium to provide online tutoring assistance to students through eTutoring. Now, all students enrolled in Whatcom Community College credit-earning courses have access to eTutoring’s free online tutoring services in the following areas:
Anatomy & Physiology
Computer Science (Java & C++ only)
Math (Developmental through Calculus)
Web Development (HTML, CSS, and WordPress)
Live Tutoringvia eChat allows you to meet with a tutor in one-on-one tutoring sessions via a fully interactive, virtual online environment.
Offline Questions allows you to leave a specific question for an eTutor, who will respond within 48 hours (but usually sooner).
Get ready to use eTutoring
To log in, choose Whatcom Community College as your institution in the right-hand dropdown box.
Then, use the username of your current email (e.g., firstname.lastname@example.org uses jbabcock) for your Username and wcctest for your password. This will bring up your Account Profile. (**If you have followed these login steps and still can not access your Account Profile, please use the email you have on file with Whatcom Community College to send a message to email@example.com containing the complete spelling of your first and last name. Within a few days you will receive your login information.)
You should change your password at this time.
Finally, please read and accept the eTutoring Terms and Conditions by checking the “I agree to all terms and conditions” box at the bottom of the page.
Once this is completed, you are ready to begin by clicking on one of the eTutoring Services on the welcome page.
If you choose eChat, colored tutor icons will show which tutors are online. Click on the icon you wish to “chat” with. Note that you must allow pop-ups in the Breeze chat window.
If a tutor isn’t available for eChat, you can leave a message using eQuestions.
