   Username = first name + first letter of last name + last 4 digits of your ctcLink Id#

    Password = ctcLink ID#

    Example: User Name: studentz1212

                       Password: 101771212


Having trouble logging in?


Only students who are currently enrolled in credit classes at SCC may access eTutoring. If you have set up an account but cannot remember your password, click the “Forgot your password?” link (found just below the “Sign In” button) and follow the instructions. For all other login problems, including a deactivated account, please contact Guillermo Espinosa, tutoring serives manager and eTutoring Coordinator, at”

*Preferred email address
*CTCLink ID#


*Detailed message 


Additional information about logging in for the first time:

  • Update your account profile, which includes an option for choosing a new password. 
  • If you change your password, please keep it in a safe place.
  • Enter your email address.  Email addresses are needed to use eTutoring.
  • Please make sure your email address is accurate, or you will not receive tutor responses.
  • Verify your account by adding your ctcLink ID# as your Institutional ID.
  • Accept the eTutoring Terms and Conditions by checking the box at the bottom of the page.


eTutoring is available in the following subject areas:

    • Chemistry
    • Computer Science (Java & C++ only)
    • Economics
    • Math (Developmental through Calculus)
    • Microsoft Office
    • Nursing (via the eWriting Lab)
    • Physics
    • Spanish
    • Statistics
    • Web Development (HTML, CSS, and WordPress)
    • Writing


There are three eTutoring services to choose from:


  1. Online Writing Lab allows you to submit a draft of your paper to a tutor, ask for specific feedback, and receive a tutor's response within 24-48 hours.
  2. Live Tutoring via eChat allows you to meet with a tutor in one-on-one tutoring sessions via a fully interactive, virtual online environment.  Live eChat sessions are offered in every subject but writing.
  3. Offline eQuestions allows you to leave a specific question for a tutor who will then respond within 48 hours (but usually sooner). eQuestions may be submitted for any of the subject areas listed above.
