Please read the directions below very carefully!


On the left side of the page, type in your username and password and check to see that the “student” button is selected at the bottom of the login box.

§       Username:  This will be the first initial of your first name, your full last name, followed by the last 4 digits of your student identification number (SID). For example:

·         John Smith, SID 740020987

·         Your user name is jsmith0987

§       Password: This is created from a combination of your birthday, your first, and last name (case sensitive). For example:

·         Birthday: 01/25/1980

·         Name: John Smith

·         The password would be: 012580JoSm

§       NOTE: When you log in the first time, you’ll be asked to update your account profile. You will be asked for your Student ID at this time so will need to have this on hand the first time you log in. You can also choose a new password at this time if you prefer to do so.

§       Please read and accept the eTutoring Terms and conditions by checking the “I agree to all terms and conditions” box at the bottom of the page.

§       Once this process is complete, click on one of the eTutoring services on the Student Home page to begin!


All SVC students have access to eTutoring’s free online tutoring services in the following subjects:


    • Accounting
    • Anatomy & Physiology
    • Biology
    • Calculus
    • Chemistry
    • Computer Science (Java & C++ only)
    • Economics
    • Intro to Psychology
    • Math (Developmental through Trigonometry)
    • Microsoft Office
    • Physics
    • Spanish
    • Statistics
    • Web Development (HTML, CSS, and WordPress)
    • Writing (Synchronous and Asynchronous) – including undergraduate-, masters’- and PhD-level submissions!


eTutoring Services

    • Writing Lab allows you to submit a draft of your paper to a tutor, ask for specific feedback, and receive your work back with an eTutor’s response within 24-48 hours.
    •  Live tutoring via Zoom allows you to meet with an eTutor in one-on-one tutoring sessions via a fully interactive, virtual online environment.
    • Offline eQuestions allows you to leave a specific question in any subject for an eTutor. You will receive a response within 48 hours (usually sooner).


Please Note:

If you choose Live Tutoring, colored tutor icons will show which tutors are online. Click on the icon you wish to “chat” with. Note that your browser must be set to allow pop-ups in order for Zoom to work.


If a tutor isn’t available for Live Tutoring, you can leave the tutors an eQuestion.


The Weekly Tutor Schedules are available in the lower right-hand side of the Student Home Page.
